Laptop (Part 1)

I've never been a laptop guy. It's just another piece of junk people carry around to feel important, dump coffee on, then make me fix.

Unfortunately, I'm getting ready to go to a university, I'm starting a new full time job, and my internet at home is unbearably slow. I need to be able to to take my school, work, and torrents on the road- so I gotta buy a laptop/develop further hated for myself.

So here's my ideal portable:

• Cheap - to save money for porn
• Lightweight - easy to hide and watch porn
• Tons of battery life - for long nights of watching porn
• Unbreakable - for out of control porn
• Giant Screen - in case other people on the bus want to watch porn

After some research I found a pretty happy medium - the Everex Stepnote NC1500.

( what are these 2 up to?)

It's got low power consumption, decent screen size, and is about 5 pounds. I bought one from ebay for about $375 shipped. You should be able to get one for closer to $300, but my dad doesn't understand the concept of a max bid. I've had it for a few weeks now and here's what I do and don't like about it...

Likes:

• Lightweight and thin - I have to look in my backpack to tell it's in there
• Battery life - runs for about 3.5 hours with the 6 cell battery
• Cheap - I'm a cheapass

Dislikes:

• Only came with 512MB RAM
• Ugly - It's got a retarded looking silver foil sticker on it. May have looked cool in 1995.
• Top heavy - it could tip over with a good poke. Then again I have mad poking skills.
