TURNING THE FLASH ON/OFF
not having control of the flash got old really quick so here's what i did:
1) removed an on/off switch from a busted hdd enclosure and put it in the bottom of my camera (note: camera can't sit flat now) (i'll put better pictures up here when i get the chance)
2) soldered extensions to these three points on top and fed the wire back through the small opening next to the flash:
3) next i wired it up somewhat following popeye's guide:
4) after shoving the excess wire in the camera case i tested it and it was a go:
note: sometimes it takes a few shots for the flash to go away because of the charged stored in the capacitor
